No ordinary mining company

The leader for over 25 years.

For over 25 years, Heathgate has been the leader in responsible uranium mining in Australia, with a strong focus on safety and innovation, within a strong regulatory framework.

A Smarter Approach to Uranium Production

We use in-situ recovery (ISR), a low-impact mining method that recovers uranium from underground with minimal surface disturbance. There are no open pits, no underground tunnels, and no tailings. This protects the landscape while supporting safe, efficient operations.

Since introducing ISR to Australia, we have produced millions of pounds of uranium and continue to improve how uranium is discovered, recovered, and managed using data and technology. This work supports reliable supply for cleaner energy generation.

Heathgate has mined uranium in South Australia since 2000, first at Beverley and then Beverley North. Our current uranium production is centred at the Four Mile Mine in the Frome Basin, east of the Flinders Ranges and about 550 kilometres north of Adelaide.
