Operating responsibly in a unique outback environment

Responsible mining is central to how we operate, protecting people, land and communities.

Rehabilitation in action

Once a wellfield is depleted, we remove piping and equipment, seal and cap wells, and rehabilitate the site under approved plans. With this progressive rehabilitation during operations, over time, it can be difficult to see where operations ever occurred.

Sustainability at Heathgate is built around three practical commitments

Minimise environmental impact through the way we operate

Maintain strong governance, compliance and transparency

Support people and communities where we live and work

Regulation and reporting

We operate within robust State and Federal regulatory frameworks. We monitor performance, meet licence conditions and report as required.

A zero carbon energy source

Uranium supports reliable, low-emissions electricity generation. Heathgate is proud of its role in supplying uranium that helps power a cleaner energy world.

Nuclear power is the world’s second-largest source of low-emissions electricity after hydropower, providing about 9% of global electricity generation in 2024.
